Kia Ora Dave. 55k is ok if its genuine, is it an import. Just give it a compressiion test listen for rattles check the chain and sprockets, swing arm bushes wheel bearings brakepads/shoes disk and see if the frame is straight no kinks or bends especially up by the steering head. If any of these things are worn you can use it as leverage to lower the price. Personally I would go for the 650 more power,belt drive and more to choose from also the 400cc class does not sell well in NZ too big for leaners and too samll for expert riders , its more of a ladies bike size.
